Job Description

• Work closely with leadership to understand franchise goals, then engage with project stakeholders early to understand the intended impact of their work • Design and execute end-to-end studies using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate whether the player experience meets project goals. • Partner with Data Analysts & Scientists to synthesize mixed-method insights, creating a more holistic view of player behavior and sentiment • Present actionable insights back to stakeholders in a clear and compelling way while providing recommendations and ongoing design consultation • Effectively communicate your discoveries with the wider organization so that they may better understand the experience of our players • Improve the researcher process with our development team with each cycle.

Job Requirements

5+ years or equivalent experience in user research or market research
A Bachelor’s degree in a human-focused discipline such as Psychology, Anthropology, or Human-Computer Interaction.
Experienced in qualitative and quantitative research methods—including interviews, focus groups, playtests, diary studies —with deep specialization in surveys
Proficient in core statistical methods—including regression, correlation, and factor analysis—and experienced with a statistical package such as R or SPSS
Excellent written English with experience writing effective survey questions
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent spoken communication skills with experience running (remote) focus groups
Experience working with cross-cultural teams and audiences
Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams
Passion for games and a belief in thatgamecompany’s mission
