Job Description

HR Specialist
Employment Type: Full-Time

We Are Building Something That Matters

At Pro-Vac, we don’t exist to “do HR.”
We exist to build a workforce that performs, grows, and takes pride in supporting critical infrastructure across the country.

This is a fast-moving, high-accountability environment. The work is real. The impact is immediate. The expectations are high.

Join the Mission

You won’t be sitting on the sidelines.

As an HR Specialist, you will directly influence how our teams operate, how leaders lead, and how employees experience Pro-Vac. You will solve problems in real time, support field operations, and ensure we are compliant, consistent, and people-focused—at scale.

Your work will help us build a stronger, safer, and more engaged workforce.

How We Work

We take ownership. No excuses.
We move fast and figure it out.
We do the right thing—even when it’s hard.

Are You Ready for This Challenge?

This is not a “check-the-box” HR role.

You will handle real employee issues, navigate gray areas, support multiple states, and operate in a business where things change quickly.

If you need constant direction or shy away from tough conversations—this isn’t the role for you.

About the Role

As an HR Specialist, you are the engine behind a high-performing HR function.

You will drive responsiveness, ensure compliance, and act as a trusted partner to employees and leaders across the business. You are expected to operate with urgency, accuracy, and sound judgment—every day.

This role is critical to maintaining a culture where people perform at a high level and feel supported doing it.

What You’ll Love Doing

  • Solving employee issues quickly and effectively (24–48 hour response standard)

  • Owning employee relations cases from start to resolution with confidence

  • Administering benefits with precision—especially during high-volume periods like open enrollment

  • Driving engagement initiatives that actually move participation and morale

  • Navigating multi-state compliance with accuracy and zero shortcuts

  • Building trust with field teams, supervisors, and leaders across the business

You’re a High Performer If…

  • You move fast, stay organized, and don’t drop the ball

  • You take full ownership—problems don’t sit, they get solved

  • You’re comfortable having tough conversations and making sound decisions

  • You thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment

  • You have 5+ years of HR experience, including employee relations and compliance

  • You understand ACA, FMLA, ADA, and multi-state employment laws

  • You’re certified (or working toward SHRM or PHR certification)

  • You bring energy, urgency, and follow-through to everything you do

  • You value confidentiality, professionalism, and doing things the right way

Why This Role Is Worth It

  • You’ll have real impact

  • You’ll work with a team that expects excellence and supports growth

  • You’ll be part of a company that is scaling and investing in its people

  • You’ll build relationships across the business and influence outcomes

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $75,000 – $90,000 base salary

  • 401(k) with up to 4% match

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, LTD, STD, Life, EAP

  • Paid Vacation, Sick Leave, and Holidays

  • Flexibility with some remote work

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
This includes sitting for extended periods, working at a computer, occasional standing/walking, and minimal travel between locations as needed.

Work Environment

This role operates in a fast-paced environment supporting both office and field employees. Some remote flexibility is available, but responsiveness and availability during business operations are critical.

Equal Opportunity Employer

Pro-Vac is an equal opportunity employer. We hire based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.
