Role Description
Peraton is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for our Systems Storage Administrator position. This position will be responsible for providing support to moderate and complex projects along with system reporting, tuning and prevention of service disruptions.
- Contribute independently and as part of a team on projects of moderate to complex scope, recommending and developing practical, innovative solutions.
- Perform predictive and performance analysis, proactively monitor systems, identify root causes, and implement both short- and long-term remediation strategies.
- Execute day-to-day administrative tasks including system reporting, tuning, and coordination with cross-functional teams to prevent service disruptions.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation in compliance with industry standards and customer policies.
- Provide 24x7 operational support, responding to escalations, troubleshooting issues, and driving process improvements.
- Collaborate across operations and implementation teams to determine optimal technical solutions.
- Support and maintain hardware, software, and connectivity components; plan and execute infrastructure upgrades to ensure reliability and availability.
- Enhance backup and storage methodologies, including automation and configuration management improvements.
- Serve as a primary communication point for internal teams, government leads, and stakeholders regarding storage and backup operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, PhD with 3+ years of experience, Associate’s degree with 10+ years of experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 12+ years of experience.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance (active clearance preferred).
- Ability to obtain Security+ certification within required timeframe.
- US Citizen.
- Strong working knowledge of Veritas NetBackup and HPE Data Protector.
- Experience with data replication to tape media and offsite storage environments.
- Working knowledge of SAN storage operations.
- Understanding of customer business environments and operational requirements.
