Role Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant (Remote). In this role, you will take ownership of the general ledger and month-end closing processes for the U.S. entity while also supporting Canadian operations. Your expertise will ensure that our multi-entity financials remain accurate and adhere to GAAP standards. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external teams, streamlining accounts payable and other key processes. This hands-on position calls for a proactive individual who can operate independently and shape scalable financial processes in a growing, dynamic environment.
- Own the end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for US and Canadian entities.
- Oversee global accounting processes and consolidation in Netsuite.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, expense allocations, and intercompany transactions.
- Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger to ensure timely and accurate financial data recording in accordance with US GAAP.
- Oversee the AP function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor bills and employee expenses.
- Manage bank reconciliations for multiple currency accounts.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and conduct Flux Analysis to identify significant variances.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in industry accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial data organization and analysis.
- Experience with AI technologies for process automation.
- Familiarity with Netsuite and Ramp is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
