Job Description

• Serve as a contracts subject matter expert supporting FAA programs across multiple contract types and provide strategic guidance to program and business leadership • Lead high-visibility programs and proposal efforts, including RFP analysis, risk identification and mitigation, hands on proposal development, support internal reviews and contract negotiation • Proactively identify, assess and mitigate contractual risks • Lead required reviews and ensure compliance in accordance with company policies • Act as a forward-leaning problem solver who can recommend practical solutions and influence outcomes that support strategic program goals and business results • Effectively prioritize and manage competing activities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and Government counterparts, serving as a trusted advisor on contractual matters • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with the FAA Contracting Officials to ensure responsiveness to customer needs and successful contract execution • Ensure overall contract compliance with assigned programs in accordance with contractual requirements, company policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations while operating with a high degree of independence in a dynamic work environment

Job Requirements

  • BA degree + 12 or more years of relevant experience; or Masters degree + 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • in-depth knowledge of various contract types (e.g., T&M, FFP, and Cost Plus)
  • Proven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound decisions
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with measured and articulate communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Proven history of building a team environment, fostering communication, listening to staff concerns, and reconciling internal issues or differences
  • Vast experience managing large contracts, IDIQs, Risk Analysis, Negotiating
  • A background in the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) is highly desired in addition to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Must have the ability to make sound business judgments, handle multiple contractual activities with a short turn-around time
  • Candidate must be proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a Public Trust Clearance
