Job Description

• The Interpreter will provide interpretation within the State of Arizona to reach individuals with a language barrier. • Interpretation will consist of but not limited to Education, legal, Medical, Environmental, and Social Services, etc. • Accurately interpreting spoken work situations like lectures, conversations, and meetings. • Utilizing technology to transcribe spoken English in some settings. • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

High School/BA Degree or equivalent in years of experience
Medical Interpreting Training School
Foreign Service Institute Certification
Commission for Healthcare Interpreters
3+ years of interpretation or translation experience in Q'echi language
State Department experience/ refugees, FDA, Health & Human services, Medical, Legal, Housing Authority etc.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must possess problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
