• Act as a strategic thought partner to Finance leadership in building an accounting team to support reporting and compliance needs • Own and continuously improve the month-end and quarter-end close process, driving toward a 5-day close • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP • Establish and document accounting policies, with particular focus on ASC 606 revenue recognition, expense recognition, stock-based compensation, and other technical areas • Stay current on accounting standards and assess their impact on our financial reporting • Serve as the technical accounting expert for complex or non-routine transactions • Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions • Prepare the company for its first external audit, managing auditor relationships and deliverables • Design and implement internal controls that can scale toward SOX readiness
