Job Description
• Lead and execute precast engineering and design tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver structurally sound, cost-effective, and visually appealing precast concrete designs.
• Perform and review structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety under various loads and conditions.
• Select materials and components for precast concrete production that meet strength, durability, and sustainability standards.
• Create accurate drawings, plans, and specifications for precast projects aligned with industry design standards.
• Support cost estimation for materials
• Support Project Managers and Designers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of codes, technologies, and advancements in the precast-prestressed field.
• Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables.
• Mentor junior staff and support their technical development.
Job Requirements
- 10 plus years of precast design experience in precast concrete design engineering for transportation infrastructure and underground structures (utility vaults, manholes, drainage structures and pump stations).
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered
- Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE-7, AASHTO
- Familiarity with IBC codes a plus
- Professional Engineering License (PE) a plus but not required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & RISA 3D
