Job Description

• Review, draft and negotiate a wide variety of complex commercial contracts, such as vendor/procurement, sales/service, and non-disclosure agreements • Advise various internal departments regarding contract terms and implications on business operations, including providing guidance and practical solutions • Assist senior internal counsel with matters including legal research projects and commercial disputes • Draft and respond to demand letters related to contract matters • Ability to travel as needed to successfully perform position responsibilities, and handle disruptive work schedules, deadlines and unpredictable events • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree and JD Degree (from ABA accredited law school) required
  • Admission to a state bar with an active membership in good standing required; admission to State of Florida Bar preferred
  • Five (5) years’ experience as an attorney in drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts
  • Ability to quickly and accurately identify legal and business issues and risks
  • Familiarity with the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act, National Credit Union Administration regulations and data privacy laws preferred
  • Exposure to contract disputes, including dispute resolution and/or litigation is preferred
  • Experience within a corporate legal environment preferred
  • Experience working in financial services sector preferred
