Job Description

• Perform field service, installation, commissioning, and support for all equipment built or supplied by Westfalia Technologies. • Maintain accurate documentation of PLC code for control systems. • Identify and resolve issues with PLC-based control systems at customer sites. • Conduct thorough testing of control systems. • Perform wiring tasks for control systems. • Install and commission control systems. • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide emergency phone support. • Assist in sales and support for spare parts related to S/RMs, conveyors, palletizers, and robots. • Deliver world-class customer service by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair support. • Interface with Sales and Engineering teams to meet customer requirements. • Submit all necessary paperwork in a timely and professional manner. • Assist in the Production Shop with assigned tasks during periods of low service work.

Job Requirements

  • Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Rockwell programming software and hardware.
  • Solid understanding of DeviceNet and Industrial Ethernet.
  • Familiarity with mechanical hardware used in pallet, case, bottle, and bag handling systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical components in a washdown environment.
  • Familiarity with industrial sensors, including photoeyes and proximity switches.
  • Proficiency in industrial control system design and programming, particularly with Allen-Bradley PLC, HMI, and VFD hardware.
  • Strong multitasking skills and flexibility to adjust priorities as needed.
  • A strong commitment to safety in all aspects of the job.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1-4 years of relevant experience including electro/mechanical repair and troubleshooting.
