Job Description

• Database Management: Design, install, configure, and maintain databases. • Ensure data integrity and quality. • Monitor database performance and implement improvements. • Security: Implement and manage security measures to safeguard databases. • Control access permissions and privileges. • Performance Tuning: Perform database tuning and optimization. • Regularly monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues. • Backup and Recovery: Develop, manage, and test backup and recovery plans. • Ensure data is properly backed up and can be restored efficiently. • Support and Maintenance: Provide support and resolve database-related issues. • Maintain up-to-date documentation and procedures. • Development and Implementation: Work with application developers to ensure database changes adhere to best practices. • Design and implement new database schemas. • Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and maintain monitoring and reporting tools. • Regularly review and analyse database performance reports.

Job Requirements

Proven experience as a Database Administrator.
Experience with database management software (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server).
Strong knowledge of database structure, theories, principles, and practices.
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization (PTO).
Proficient in database security, backup, and recovery processes.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
