Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in nuclear engineering, physics, computational methods or a closely related technical discipline AND 8 years of experience specializing in one of the following areas: Reload Design & Analysis, Thermal Hydraulic Methods, Neutronics Methods, LOCA, Containment, and Stability Analysis, Radiological Analysis, or Transient Analysis.
- Prior experience with BWR technology.
- Working knowledge of nuclear reactor core licensing, technical specifications, safety margin bases, code methodology licensing, and related federal regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on the best available information.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Legacy of delivering on commitments; tenacious, with a proven track record of overcoming obstacles; ability to achieve stretch targets.
- Strong external focus; clear and demonstrated understanding of nuclear industry and/or energy industry.
- Lean and continuous improvement mindset.
- Programming experience with Fortran, Python, and C#.
- Experience with BWR core simulator and use of 3-Dimensional neutron kinetics codes.
- Experience performing technical evaluations and providing technical support in the areas of nuclear fuel bundle and core design, reload licensing, cycle management, and core monitoring databanks.
- Knowledge of USNRC licensing requirements.
- Knowledge of US utility outage planning processes.
- Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in nuclear engineering, physics, computational methods or a closely related technical discipline AND Minimum of 6 years of experience specializing in one of the following areas: Reload Design & Analysis, Thermal Hydraulic Methods, Neutronics Methods, LOCA, Containment, and Stability Analysis, Radiological Analysis, or Transient Analysis.
- Ph.D. from an accredited university or college in nuclear engineering, physics, computational methods or a closely related technical discipline AND Minimum of 5 years of experience specializing in one of the following areas: Reload Design & Analysis, Thermal Hydraulic Methods, Neutronics Methods, LOCA, Containment, and Stability Analysis, Radiological Analysis, or Transient Analysis.
