Job Description

Sales/Intake Attorney – Michael & Associates

Michael & Associates, a forward-thinking law firm focused on criminal defense, is looking for a committed Sales/Intake Attorney to spearhead our client acquisition initiatives. Since our inception, we have transformed traditional criminal defense methodologies by incorporating strategies from the technology industry. Our firm prioritizes a client-centered approach that fosters relationship development, promotes transparent communication, and provides outstanding service.

About the Role

As a Sales/Intake Attorney, you will be the primary point of contact for individuals in need of legal representation. Your role will involve direct engagement with clients who are facing serious criminal charges, where you will thoroughly evaluate their circumstances and effectively convey how Michael & Associates can safeguard their rights and future.

This position does not require cold calling; every lead is pre-qualified and actively seeking legal assistance. Your main focus will be on establishing trust, showcasing the firm's value, and assisting potential clients in the process of securing our services.

Job Responsibilities

Client Acquisition

  • Conduct around 20 consultations per day with pre-qualified prospective clients.
  • Assess their legal concerns, communicate our firm’s value clearly, and guide them smoothly through the onboarding process.

Legal Expertise & Client Education

  • Gain a strong understanding of criminal law and Michael & Associates’ defense strategies.
  • Use this knowledge to answer client inquiries confidently and recommend appropriate next steps.

Client Support & Relationship Building

  • Understand the stress and uncertainty clients experience when facing criminal charges.
  • Approach each interaction with empathy, professionalism, and clarity, providing reassurance and building long-term trust.

Brand Representation & Advocacy

  • Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients, representing Michael & Associates with integrity and professionalism.
  • Reflect our core value of Zealous Advocacy by delivering exceptional service and setting a positive tone for the client experience.

What Makes This Role Unique?

1) Growth Potential: Join a rapidly growing firm positioned to become a leading criminal defense practice in Texas. You'll have the opportunity to shape your role and contribute to our growth narrative.

2) Opportunities for Advancement: We seek to disrupt the traditional boundaries of criminal defense law, providing opportunities for attorneys to grow within our expanding firm.

3) Innovative Practices: We embrace technology and continuously innovate to enhance efficiency and client service. Join us in transforming the legal landscape.

4) Collaborative Culture: At Michael & Associates, teamwork is essential. When clients choose us, they benefit from the collective expertise of our entire legal team, setting us apart from the competition.

5) Meaningful Work: Daily, you will have the chance to positively impact the lives of countless clients during one of their most difficult times. We don't strive for mediocrity; we go above and beyond to ensure exceptional outcomes for our clients.

If you're an enthusiastic and client-oriented attorney looking to make a mark in the field of criminal defense, we’re eager to hear from you.

P.S. Know someone who might be a fit? We offer a $5,000 referral fee if you refer a successful candidate!

Job Requirements

  • Passion for Client Engagement
  • You should genuinely enjoy phone-based interactions and building rapport with clients. Prior experience in client consultations or sales is essential.
  • Proven Sales Ability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must. You’ll need to be both empathetic and persuasive—capable of clearly presenting our services and addressing any questions or concerns potential clients may have.
  • Legal Credentials
  • To qualify, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
  • Hold an active Texas bar license
  • Hold an active out-of-state bar license with 5+ years of experience
  • Hold a bar license from a state with reciprocity with Texas
  • Comfortable Phone Communicator
  • This role requires frequent, high-volume phone interaction. If speaking with clients over the phone is not your strength or interest, this position may not be the right fit.

Benefits

  • Competitive Salary Range: $130000– $200000 per year (depending on experience and performance)
