Job Description

• Manage and provide leadership to the Women’s Health sales team to achieve and/or exceed annual sales goals as well as supervision of all key accounts. • Manage District Managers, with the primary objective of meeting district sales goals established for all Women’s Health products. • Develop and update area business plan as needed, implementing all sales and marketing programs. • Manage field sales operations to meet or exceed annual sales goals and forecasts. • Manage expenses within sales team. • Develop and lead a high performing organization which fosters creativity, productivity, collaboration, compliance and accountability by all employees. • Develop and maintain good relationships with key accounts/customers. • Constantly prospect for new business and accounts, and relay information about these accounts and markets. • Ensure development/execution of focused and strategic plans for across all accounts. • Monitor key market trends and analyze the potential impact on business, prioritization of accounts and account opportunities, identification of areas of mutual interest between Viatris and key accounts, and development and execution of strategic account plans. • Create a high-performing team environment which values continued professional development and personal accountability. • Eliminate barriers and foster a solution-oriented winning vision throughout the sales force. • Exhibit both a long-term, strategic view of the business and an acute focus on driving immediate results. • Lead, develop and mentor team through onboarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies; foster a diverse and inclusive workplace. • Provide regular, candid and timely feedback that is documented appropriately. • Identify high performers and associated competencies for success in career opportunities and professional development. • Act early to identify performance challenges or deficiencies and creates plans to appropriately address performance gaps. • Work closely with HR to guide all disciplinary actions up to and including terminations. • Analyze and evaluate the performance of the team as well as sales figures and territory data. • Track and reinforce measures of sales force effectiveness (e.g. reach and frequency; adherence to strategy; tactical implementation; proper use of funds). • Review territory alignments to ensure optimal account coverage and penetration. • Assist in assessment of sales programs and make recommendations. • Liaise between field sales activities and home office staff. • Interface with home office management, providing input as necessary. • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
  • Proven track record in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive performance with focus on goals, accountability, tactical planning, and executing priorities.
  • Business acumen, strategic thinking/planning, analyzing/diagnosing, adaptability with change, and ability to consider external perspectives.
  • Strategic decision-making skills, leading through business and people challenges, and making effective decisions through complex situations.
  • Experience leading People Leaders (front-line sales managers) preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating effectively and gaining alignment with colleagues across different parts of the organization (including field and HQ), and leading (formally or informally) cross-functional teams.
  • Extensive travel required.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.
