Job Description

Fluent is seeking a Product Marketing Manager who can transform product capabilities into compelling market narratives that fuel revenue growth.

Scale and operationalize Fluent’s product positioning and go-to-market messaging across verticals and business lines. Building on an established core narrative, this role extends and refines positioning to support new vertical expansion, product launches, and evolving market opportunities.

The Product Marketing Manager ensures Fluent’s capabilities are translated into clear, differentiated messaging that strengthens sales enablement and supports revenue growth.

What You'll Do:

Sales Enablement & Funnel Support

  • Develop and maintain high-impact enablement materials, including one-pagers, vertical sheets, capability overviews, battlecards, and case study narratives.
  • Support product launches with structured messaging, internal briefs, and sales readiness materials.
  • Equip Sales with messaging toolkits that align to active campaigns and GTM priorities.
  • Act as an intermediary between our GTM team and brand to ensure that materials are always best in class and personalized.
  • Customer Storytelling & Proof Strategy
  • Own the development and scaling of Fluent’s customer storytelling strategy, translating client outcomes into compelling case studies and proof narratives that support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to identify flagship accounts and secure referenceable client stories that strengthen credibility in priority segments.
  • Develop reusable proof frameworks and narrative templates that enable consistent storytelling across campaigns, website, and sales materials.

Vertical & Market Expansion

  • Extend Fluent’s core positioning into priority verticals, adapting value propositions to resonate with specific buyer segments.
  • Develop vertical-specific messaging frameworks grounded in customer insight, use cases, and competitive context.
  • Support go-to-market strategy for new product launches, ensuring clear positioning and commercial readiness.

Product Messaging & Differentiation

  • Maintain and evolve core value propositions to reflect product updates and market shifts.
  • Clarify competitive differentiation and support competitive intelligence efforts in partnership with Revenue Marketing.
  • Ensure messaging consistency across business lines and buyer touchpoints.

Competitive & Market Intelligence

  • Lead ongoing competitive research to clarify positioning, identify whitespace opportunities, and strengthen differentiation.
  • Translate competitive insights into actionable enablement materials, including battlecards, objection-handling frameworks, and differentiation guides.
  • Monitor industry trends across retail, CPG, creator, and performance marketing ecosystems, producing insight-driven content that reinforces Fluent’s market authority.
  • Develop industry-facing thought leadership content that reflects emerging trends, category shifts, and client needs — ensuring messaging remains relevant and forward-looking.

Campaign & Narrative Alignment

  • Partner with Growth Marketing to ensure campaign messaging aligns with established positioning, vertical priorities, and customer proof points.
  • Collaborate on website messaging, email, and paid copy to maintain narrative consistency and commercial clarity across channels.

Head of Product, Square Core Banking

Square

Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn’t work together. So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality through Afterpay, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale. Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.
