Job Description

• As the Principal, SEO & GEO, you are the senior technical expert who ensures Bizee is findable, citable, and recommended across every surface where entrepreneurs search for help starting a business. • Google organic, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini. • This is not a "content marketing" role. You are a technically deep practitioner who understands how search engines crawl, index, and rank. • How AI systems retrieve, evaluate, and cite. How CMS architecture decisions cascade into organic visibility outcomes. • You write technical specifications that engineering teams implement. • You partner with the Head of Marketing to shape SEO and GEO strategy. You make the entire search function smarter.

Job Requirements

Technical SEO Mastery: You’ve done enterprise-scale technical SEO. Schema markup, crawl optimization, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, redirect strategies, migration planning. You’ve done it hands-on, not just advised on it.
GEO Fluency: You understand how LLMs retrieve, summarize, and rank information. You can explain why Google AI Mode doesn’t simply mirror the top 10 organic results. You know what entity clarity, citation trust, and content extractability mean at a mechanistic level.
CMS Architecture Experience: You’ve shaped content architecture in a modern headless or flat-file CMS (Statamic strongly preferred; Craft, Contentful, or similar accepted). You understand how CMS decisions cascade into SEO outcomes.
Technical Specification Chops: You write specs that engineers can implement without follow-up questions. JSON-LD schemas, template requirements, redirect maps, URL conventions. Precise, clear, actionable.
Cross-Functional Influence: No direct reports. Your impact comes through the quality of your thinking and your ability to earn trust with Engineering peers, Marketing partners, and executive stakeholders.
Measurement Instincts: You’ve built KPI frameworks for emerging channels where benchmarks didn’t exist. You’re comfortable defining "good" when nobody else has figured it out yet.
