Job Description
• Manage and motivate project management staff
• Recruits, trains, develop, and assess employees' performance
• Write, evaluates, amends and deploy procedures and SOPs in global alignment
• Monitors SOP and key task compliance
• Serve as chief liaison between sponsor and all PPD internal departments performing the required tasks during the conduct of the study
• Controls, manages and delegates day-to-day activities during the clinical trial to resolve any issues and answer queries
• Conducts regular face-to-face client meetings and continuously addresses client concerns and interpret needs to increase client satisfaction
• Manage client and/or program level oversight and relationship to pro-actively address needs, expectations and modifications across similar studies
• Establish and advocate high-level customer service for clients and programs to support continued service and growth of relationships
• Plans and supports workflow of team members
• Perform as a mentor and trainer, identifies and coaches on areas for development and efficiencies in performing tasks
• Author, review, revise and implement relevant procedural documents
• Serve as a back-up for the Associate Director PM, when needed and advises on action plans.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- Previous experience provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years)
- 1+ year of leadership responsibility
- Previous leadership experience in central lab environment preferred
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Solid Microsoft Office skills for analysis and presentation of data
- Critical thinking skills to support quality decision making
- Advanced knowledge of project management theories, principles and best practices relating to lab operations
- Strong attention for detail orientation and compliance with procedures and policies
- Effective client relationship management skills
- Strong supervisory and management skills with ability to work effectively at all levels
- Proficient in problem solving and prioritizing
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle pressure.
