• Furnishing patients and healthcare providers with estimates related to upcoming treatment • Collecting estimated liabilities from patients and applying payments to patient accounts • Acquire knowledge of patient’s insurance coverage and benefit limits and communicate it to the patients to make them aware of their financial responsibilities • Communicate to internal staff in a clear and concise manner the financial status of the patient by analyzing and reviewing the patient’s accounts receivables and trying to resolve any issues related to it • Initiating prior authorization requests per insurance carrier requirements • Ensure reimbursement is obtained for medical services provided for non-insured and under-insurance patients • Identify and work to minimize potential financial risk of patient accounts through working daily time of service reports • Act as a resource representative when questions arise regarding registration errors, proper insurance documentation and accounting correction
