Job Description
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role in a similar industry or calling on a similar customer base
- Bachelor degree required.
- Effective economic thinking skills with ability to apply concepts such as opportunity cost, competitive advantage, comparative advantage, switching cost and next best alternative.
- Proven track record of obtaining new customers.
- Ability to create key account plans and execute against them.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate with a demonstrated background of closing deals.
- Value selling or solution selling experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) to build budgets and forecasts and to create presentations.
- Knowledge of and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRMs) and sales pipeline management tools for tracking and reporting of current and future opportunities.
- Experience in a dynamic pricing environment and contract management acumen required.
- Willing and able to travel by air and car.
- Competitive mentality – must enjoy the thrill of pursuing business and closing new accounts.
- Strong communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work well independently, energetic self-starter with strong work ethic.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with others during development and implementation of processes and programs.
