Job Description
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Minimum of one (1) year working with youth
- Passion for working with youth and making a positive difference
- Ability to relate to and build rapport with young people from diverse backgrounds
- Reliable transportation and availability to meet regularly with mentees
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of insurance
- Ability to pass a background check, fingerprinting and reference checks
- Preferred Skills/Experience
- 4 opportunities available: Require 1 bilingual Spanish & English and 1 bilingual Hakha Chin & English
- Experience in education, social work, counseling, or youth development
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care or mentoring best practices
- Familiarity with the challenges faced by at-risk or under-resourced youth
