Job Description

WingWork, a venture-backed Vertical SaaS startup in the Private Aviation Industry is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Founding Engineer with a strong Full-Stack background. As a Founding Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of our software platform from the ground up. We are on a mission to create a SaaS product for the Private Aviation Industry (Charter Operators, Private Owners, Repair Stations, and Commercial Tours) that ensures their aircraft's compliance and airworthiness in accordance with FAA regulations, while also streamlining their operational workflow. Software in the Aviation industry in general is archaic and does not meet the modern standards of a software product powered by latest technologies. This is a significant opportunity for us to propel the Private Aviation Industry forward by addressing operational challenges with intuitive software backed by cutting-edge technology. Work closely with the founding team to develop a scalable and reliable software platform for the Private Aviation Industry Lead the design, development, and maintenance of our software architecture Write high-quality, well-tested code that meets the needs of our customers Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends Help build and manage a world-class engineering team as we grow

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Extensive experience in Full-Stack development, with a focus on Python, React, and Postgres databases
  • Experience building and scaling software platforms
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
  • Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for the Aviation Industry and a desire to make a meaningful impact
  • Experience building RESTful APIs using Python Framework such as Django, Flask
  • Knowledge of front-end tools and libraries such as React, Next.Js
  • Experience with databases such as Postgres and MySql
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies and Cloud Infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in the Aviation Industry is a plus
