Role Description
As a Virtual Medical Administrative Assistant, you will provide remote administrative and patient coordination support to healthcare professionals. This role is essential in ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation, and efficient daily operations.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-ups
- Verify insurance eligibility and assist with referrals
- Enter and update patient information in EMR/EHR systems
- Respond to patient calls and secure messages
- Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations
- Maintain accurate documentation and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year of healthcare, medical office, or administrative experience preferred
- Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Medical terminology or EMR experience is a plus (training provided)
- Not certified? That's okay — CMA/RMA certification is not required.
