Role Description

As a Virtual Medical Administrative Assistant, you will provide remote administrative and patient coordination support to healthcare professionals. This role is essential in ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation, and efficient daily operations.

  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-ups
  • Verify insurance eligibility and assist with referrals
  • Enter and update patient information in EMR/EHR systems
  • Respond to patient calls and secure messages
  • Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and HIPAA compliance

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ year of healthcare, medical office, or administrative experience preferred
  • Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection
  • Medical terminology or EMR experience is a plus (training provided)
  • Not certified? That's okay — CMA/RMA certification is not required.
