• Develop commodity strategies with a strong focus on mechanical and electrical components including analyzing and developing sourcing strategies; spend analysis and supplier strategies. • Negotiate pricing, monitor performance to agreed terms and conditions, and manage supplier selection. • Collaborate with key suppliers to expand knowledge and identify opportunities for improvements. • Leverage supplier expertise and/or technology to harness improvements in reducing total costs. • Collaborate with procurement engineering and design engineering to find the best supplier. • Develop and negotiate contractual agreements to provide price protection and supply security. • Engage suppliers to provide long-term solutions to quality issues. • Monitor quality and delivery performance of key suppliers. • Develop supplier relationships resulting in optimized supply chain efficiencies and security of supply.
