Job DetailsJob Location: EXECUTIVE OFFICE - DALLAS, TX 75254Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 Salary/yearTri Delta is seeking a Director of Engagement, Meeting & Events to lead the planning and execution of nationwide collegiate and alumnae events as well as Board meetings and new chapter installations. This hands-on role will own the entire experience for each event from pre-planning and logistics to vendor relationships, contract negotiations and collaboration with key stakeholders, senior leadership, and staff.   The ideal candidate will combine their skills as a great communicator with their deep experience negotiating hotel contracts for large events (attendance ranging from 400-800) along with their passion for member-based organizations   The role is able to be remote (only within the US), but does require travel for both the preparation of events and the events themselves. Check out our website for information about our ongoing events.   Why work for Tri Delta?   Mission driven culture Excellent work environment   Paid vacation & holidays   Benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, & vision), retirement, & life insurance   Industry leading professional training   Growth & promotion opportunities   Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Leadership  Collaborate with senior leadership to define event vision, attendee experience, and alignment with organizational goals.  Lead planning and execution of major enterprise events, including Convention, CLC, VLC, board meetings, and new chapter installations.  Event Operations & Logistics  Manage all event logistics: venue selection, hotel RFPs, contracts, schedules, pricing, rooming lists, catering, AV, and vendor coordination.  Serve as onsite lead for events, ensuring smooth execution and attendee satisfaction.  Maintain and communicate the Enterprise Event Calendar.  Budget & Vendor Management  Build and manage an annual events budget of $1.6M+.  Own relationships with external vendors (hotels, registration platforms, production companies, travel agencies, etc.).  Collaboration & Representation  Partner with Brand Advancement to ensure events align with Tri Delta’s branding strategy.  Represent Tri Delta at industry events and meetings (e.g., MPI, CONNECT Marketplace, IMEX).  Engage internal and external stakeholders to understand event needs and expectations. QualificationsEducation  Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:  Event Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing or Communications  A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA or MPA) is a plus, especially for strategic leadership roles.  Skills  Strategic & Leadership Skills:  Strategic planning and vision alignment; Leadership and team management; Stakeholder engagement and communication; Decision-making under pressure  Event Management & Logistics:  End-to-end event planning and execution, Venue sourcing and contract negotiation, Budgeting and financial oversight, Onsite event coordination and troubleshooting  Technical & Operational Skills: Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite); Familiarity with AV and production logistics; Strong project management (e.g., Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project); Calendar and scheduling tools (e.g., Outlook, Google Calendar)  Vendor & Budget Management:  Vendor sourcing and relationship management; Budget creation and cost control; RFP and contract negotiation  Branding & Representation:  Brand alignment and marketing collaboration; Public speaking and professional representation; Industry networking and trend awareness  Experience  7–10 years of progressive experience in event planning or hospitality, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or strategic role.  Experience managing large-scale events (e.g., conventions, leadership conferences).  Proven track record of managing budgets over $1M.  Experience working with nonprofits, associations, or member-based organizations is a strong plus.  Familiarity with Greek-letter organizations or similar membership-based communities is beneficial.  Professional Expectations Abide by and lead others in Tri Delta’s project management process and practices.  Receive and act on feedback; focus on self-development to become the best version of yourself.   Pursue open and consistent communication with Tri Delta employees and volunteers.   Conduct all work with a focus on elevating Tri Delta’s brand as a premier women’s organization dedicated to helping women live, learn, and lead – with Purpose, for a lifetime.    Be passionate about serving others (e.g., Tri Delta employees, Board members, collegiate and alumnae members) and helping them become the best versions of themselves.    Tri Delta’s employees are called to kindness, appreciate each other’s unique abilities, and value diverse perspectives.
