Role Purpose
The Manager, Client Services Operations & Programs partners closely with the Director of Client Services to drive execution of priority initiatives, operational follow-through, and reporting across Client Services.
This role also provides direct leadership and operational oversight of the Tissue Procurement team, ensuring scalability, throughput, and quality as volume grows.
This position is designed for a senior operator who thrives in ambiguity, can manage multiple concurrent workstreams, and is comfortable owning outcomes rather than tasks. The role increases execution capacity, strengthens operational visibility, and builds scalable infrastructure within Client Services.
Core Responsibilities
Execution & Program Ownership
- Drive execution of Client Services initiatives with limited direction, ensuring momentum and follow-through
- Translate high-level strategic intent into defined actions, timelines, and deliverables
- Track initiatives end-to-end, including risks, dependencies, and next steps
- Escalate thoughtfully when decisions materially impact cost, risk, or commitments
- Reduce repeat escalations by improving structure and clarity over time
Tissue Procurement Leadership
- Directly manage Tissue Procurement team members
- Own operational performance, throughput, and turnaround standards
- Lead capacity planning and volume forecasting in partnership with leadership
- Ensure staffing and workflows scale in alignment with anticipated growth
- Identify and implement workflow improvements to increase efficiency and reliability
- Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development
Operations & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate across Client Services supervisors while respecting existing reporting structures
- Support vendor management, contracting workflows, purchase order processes, and issue resolution
- Step into working sessions to remove blockers and accelerate progress
- Ensure operational follow-through across teams without requiring constant Director involvement
Analytics & Executive Reporting
- Build and maintain operational and executive-facing Tableau dashboards
- Develop clear summaries and presentations for leadership consumption
- Synthesize complex operational and analytical inputs into concise insights
- Maintain structured initiative tracking artifacts that provide real-time visibility
Financial Tracking & Spend Visibility
- Scope, design, and implement financial tracking mechanisms for Client Services
- Partner with Finance to define reporting inputs, cadence, and standards
- Improve visibility into spend, forecasting, and financial accountability
- Maintain and mature financial reporting as operational complexity increases
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in operations, program management, business operations, or similar execution-focused roles
- Experience managing operational teams
- Experience with vendor coordination, contracting workflows, or purchase order processes
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes with incomplete or evolving information
- Hands-on experience building Tableau dashboards and operational reporting
- Experience supporting senior leaders (Director level or above)
- Proven ability to coordinate across teams without direct authority
- Strong organizational and synthesis skills; capable of managing multiple parallel efforts
Strongly Preferred
- Experience designing or improving financial tracking or reporting systems
- Healthcare, diagnostics, biotech, or regulated industry experience
