Senior Finance Operations Analyst
Location: United States (Hybrid/Remote as applicable)
Position Summary
The Senior Finance Operations Analyst plays a critical role in strengthening financial visibility, operational efficiency, and reporting accuracy across Impact Advisors. This role blends financial analysis, operational finance oversight, and process optimization, ensuring leadership has reliable insights into performance, margins, and forecasting.
The Analyst will support core finance operations while driving advanced reporting and analytics including bonus accruals, sales and staffing bonus calculations, budget vs. actual analysis, project margin reporting, and bill rate analysis. This individual serves as a key bridge between Finance, Staffing, Sales, and Delivery leadership to support data-driven decision-making and scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Produce and analyze monthly financial reporting packages, including budget vs. actuals, forecasts, and variance explanations
- Manage bonus accrual models and calculations, including sales and staffing incentives
- Develop and maintain project margin analysis, utilization insights, and bill rate performance reporting
- Support delivery of actionable insights to leadership on profitability trends, revenue drivers, and cost optimization opportunities
Finance Operations Oversight
- Support daily accounting and finance operations including AP/AR, purchasing, and cash management
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations and financial close processes
- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Support treasury activities including banking relationships and cash flow monitoring
Process Improvement & Systems Optimization
- Evaluate and improve finance workflows, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Support ERP and financial system implementations/upgrades and reporting enhancements
- Partner with operations and IT to automate reporting and streamline data integrity across systems
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve reporting timeliness and accuracy
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Mentor finance staff as applicable; set priorities and ensure workload alignment
- Partner closely with Staffing, Sales, Delivery, and Executive Leadership teams
- Translate financial data into clear business insights for non-finance stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- 6+ years of experience in financial operations, FP&A, accounting, or related finance role
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Financial reporting and variance analysis
- Incentive/bonus modeling or compensation analytics
- Project or services-based margin analysis
- Proficiency with Workday
- Advanced Excel/data analysis skills; experience with reporting or BI tools preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement mindset
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across functions
- High attention to detail and commitment to reporting accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in consulting, professional services, or healthcare services environment
- Exposure to utilization, bill rate, or services profitability modeling
- Experience supporting Workday implementations or finance system transformations
- CPA, MBA, or relevant professional certification (preferred but not required)

- Accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial reporting
- Reliability of bonus accruals and incentive calculations
- Visibility and improvement of project-level margin performance
- Efficiency of AP/AR and operational finance workflows
- Strength and auditability of internal controls
- Stakeholder satisfaction with financial insights and decision support
At Impact Advisors, we prioritize transparency and equity in our compensation practices. This role has a salary range of $60,000 - $100,000 and may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This range accounts for various factors, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
For salaried positions, this role may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus. Additional benefits and perks may also be available, depending on the position and employment terms. This range reflects consideration of several factors, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
