Role Description
This role involves working as a Sr. Sage 100 Consultant, where you will have in-depth knowledge of the application and work alongside a team dedicated to delivering a world-class experience to customers.
- Strategically guide customers through the software implementation process
- Deliver informative, insightful, and engaging training
- Provide timely, thoughtful, and outstanding post-implementation service and support
Scope of the Role
- Conduct in-depth discovery meetings to understand, capture, and identify complex business requirements and operational objectives
- Produce professional documentation of current challenges, future requirements, and benefits; create Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Perform project scoping, planning, business process mapping, and UAT testing
- Provide guidance and direction as the Subject Matter Expert to both internal and customer implementation teams
- Participate in business development by assisting with sales calls, proposal development, and delivering presentations
- Deliver insightful, engaging training sessions via phone, web, or in-person
- Provide prompt, professional customer service and support
Day in the Life of our Sage 100 Consultant
- Actively participate in the software implementation process
- Lead a team of consultants on client engagements, providing leadership and guidance
- Schedule and participate in discovery meetings with clients to gather requirements
- Create and update Statements of Work
- Lead configuration sessions with clients
- Business process mapping and data migration
- User acceptance testing
- Create training documents and lead training sessions with clients
- Participate in sales calls as a Subject Matter Expert
- Respond to support calls and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Attend project status meetings
- Travel to client sites as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Sage 100 consultant or implementing similar midmarket ERP solutions (e.g., Epicor, Microsoft GP, IQMS, Oracle E-Business Suite, Infor)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with project scoping, planning, requirements gathering, and business process mapping
- Ability to utilize defined and structured implementation processes and project management methodologies
- Talent for handling multiple projects successfully while meeting deadlines
- Solid understanding of common industry business practices related to accounting, sales/manufacturing/inventory management
- Outstanding organizational, time management, communication, and listening skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, decision-making, and analytical abilities
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, and proficiency with CRM tools
- Ability to travel as needed
