Job Description
Role Description
The Manager of Conservation Services will report to the Director of Conservation Services and will be responsible for supervising day-to-day grant management operations.
- Work with a diverse team of conservation professionals to provide administrative oversight of public grant and private funding for DU’s wetland conservation efforts.
- Support the work of staff, partners, and landowners on grassland, wetland, and conservation restoration and protection efforts.
- Supervise and support a team of 3 – 4 grant management specialists, ensuring procurement and grant standards and professional development.
- Coordinate contract development and implementation, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements, review and commentary, approval, and dissemination.
- Monitor grant management and financial operations and recommend and implement process improvements.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and training of standard operating procedures for grant and financial management.
- Monitor, analyze, and reconcile project budgets and expenditures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with federal and/or state grant recipients.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
- Well-organized and detail oriented.

- A clean driving record and drug test will also be required.
