Job Description
Role Description
This role involves monitoring, processing, reporting, and documenting a variety of transactions including but not limited to:
- Suspense
- Adjustments
- Premium receipt
- Invoicing
- Deduction requests
- Reversals
- Reposts
- Delinquencies
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with other business areas to ensure accurate premium processing, reporting, billing, and fee disclosure
- Performing research as needed in support of reconciliations and adjustments
- Preparing and creating monthly bills for alternately billed groups
- Acting as a resource for external and internal business areas on process, procedure, and systems
- Implementing billing and delinquency operations to maximize effectiveness and accuracy
- Auditing the accuracy of billing and delinquency information entered in the system
- Monitoring operation of the billing system
- Developing solutions to billing and delinquency issues
- Working with systems design to implement system and process enhancements
- Working on special projects with management
- Proactively communicating sensitive and/or confidential policy and billing information
Qualifications
- Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of accounting or complex financial experience
- Associates Degree, or the equivalent combination of education/experience
Requirements
- Intermediate systems knowledge including Group Access, GroupFacts, AdminEase, Lawson, Clarity, OMAR
- Intermediate Excel and Word skills
- 2-3 years of customer service experience
