Job Description
Role Description
This role involves leading the technical strategy for Curana Connect and Curana Companion, two flagship products at the center of Curana’s growth and care delivery strategy.
- Co-chair product direction with aligned business and clinical owners.
- Translate business and clinical objectives into clear technical scope, system design, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Partner closely with Engineering to define architecture-aligned solutions, build and execute roadmaps, and ensure products are adopted and deliver real operational impact.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-
Product Strategy & Ownership:
- Translate business and clinical objectives into technical scope, delivery plans, budgets, KPIs, and ROI models.
- Partner with assigned business and clinical owners to translate requirements and deliverables into technical requirements and design patterns in concert with the engineering team.
- Prioritize work using a structured approach (value, risk, effort, operational/clinical impact) and maintain a consistently shippable backlog.
-
Workflow Enablement & Intelligent Automation:
- Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Data, and Security to deliver solutions that improve speed, reliability, and auditability across facility and patient/family workflows.
- Define acceptance criteria grounded in real operations: accuracy thresholds, exception handling, human review paths, and clear accountability.
- Ensure designs reflect privacy-by-design, safety-minded defaults, and compliance expectations appropriate for regulated healthcare environments.
-
Execution & Delivery:
- Own core product artifacts: roadmap, PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, launch readiness, and post-launch adoption measurement.
- Drive incremental delivery with Engineering: clarify ambiguity early, manage dependencies, and keep work releasable.
- Lead UAT readiness, stakeholder walkthroughs, launch planning, and operational handoffs.
- Surface risks early (data quality, operational readiness, vendor constraints, capacity, cost) and drive mitigation.
- Align training and curriculum approach with Learning & Development (L&D).
- Align change management plan with the Transformation team.
-
Governance & Product Discipline:
- Maintain product rigor: clear ownership, documented decisions, explicit tradeoffs, and outcome-based reporting.
- Support portfolio prioritization routines to ensure the highest-value work is staffed and delivered.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, including ownership of platform and/or data-enabled products.
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare technology and workflows (e.g., clinical operations, care operations, revenue cycle, population health).
- Strong technical fluency: able to reason about product design, APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and architecture.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and steer technical execution without direct authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate between functional and technical stakeholders.
- Experience with digital/mobile engagement platforms, including patient engagement and patient portals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational background in an engineering or quantitative field, such as computer science, data science, and/or machine learning.
- Experience delivering products in regulated environments requiring privacy, auditability, and safety-minded design.
- Familiarity with interoperability and healthcare data concepts (e.g., HL7/FHIR and/or unstructured clinical documents).
- Experience with vendor-integrated healthcare platforms and enterprise tools commonly used in healthcare organizations (e.g., EHR/CRM/data platforms like GEHRIMED, Innovaccer, etc.).
- Comfort operating in high-visibility, resource-constrained environments with a strong bias toward delivery.
