Role Description
The VP of Marketing Solutions is responsible for the entire operation of SBM’s marketing and design teams in support of organizational and solutions initiatives. The VP is a strategic thinker with the ability to develop and coach creative team members on strategies that promote organic growth and external sales for multiple business units.
- Provide strategic leadership on all messaging of SBM value propositions companywide and throughout solutions pursuit process
- Lead Director levels and designated Managers who focus on department deliverables and project schedules
- Review and approve actions, staff, and timelines directly with CMO
- Support (indirectly and directly) current and targeted growth initiatives including but not limited to messaging and selling strategies for IFM, Direct RFP’s, and presentations
- Review Marketing tickets and manage delegation authority by ensuring the right skill sets are assigned for successful completion
- Regularly evaluate SBM’s position in the marketplace to identify key differentiators
- Work with appropriate channels to support SBM’s organizational growth goals
- Delivers high level performance and progress reporting to senior leadership regarding company goals related to solutions marketing initiatives
- Responsible for building and maintaining a team that is competent, dedicated, and motivated to achieving company goals
- Plan and manage assigned budget
- Oversee execution of promotional activities including print, electronic media, trade show, direct mail, point-of-purchase displays, and signage
- Negotiate contract terms with outside agencies and suppliers
- Communicate with outside advertising agencies on ongoing campaigns
- Oversee development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs
- Direct communication strategies that drive client advocacy and internal successes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in marketing, communications, or related field; or five to seven years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
- May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
