Role Description
JIRA Administrator – Contingent Pipeline Opportunity – We’re building a talent pipeline for upcoming U.S. Government defense IT and analytics support roles. Opportunities are contingent upon task order awards and funding under existing contracts.
- Configure and manage Jira as the primary ticketing and workflow management system
- Design and maintain workflows to support Work Order tracking and task automation
- Administer user roles, permissions, and access controls
- Customize dashboards, reports, and boards to support program visibility
- Monitor and maintain system performance and data integrity
- Support SLA tracking and reporting requirements
- Integrate Jira with tools such as GitLab, Confluence, and other DevOps platforms
- Troubleshoot system issues and implement process improvements
- Support Agile teams with board configuration, sprint setup, and backlog management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- OR 5 (five) years of equivalent experience in Jira administration
- Hands on experience configuring Jira workflows and issue types
- Experience managing user permissions and access controls
- Experience integrating Jira with DevOps tools such as GitLab or Confluence
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint management
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Requirements
- Experience supporting federal or DoD programs
- Experience designing workflow automation for complex programs
- Experience building advanced dashboards and executive level reporting views
- Familiarity with IT service management concepts and SLA monitoring
Certifications
- Required: None
- Preferred: Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator, ITIL Foundation certification
Clearance Requirement
Candidate must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
