Job Description
Role Description
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously improving a comprehensive quality assurance program across all company deliverables. This role ensures that quality is consistently built into projects from planning through delivery, rather than simply being inspected at the end.
- Partner closely with Delivery Leadership, Project Managers, and cross‑functional teams to establish and enforce quality standards, testing practices, and measurable outcomes.
- Own the overall QA strategy, team development, and quality maturity of the organization.
- Balance rigor with pragmatism to ensure high‑quality outcomes while supporting delivery velocity, creativity, and varied project needs.
- Design and implement a scalable QA program, drive adoption across delivery teams, and continuously evolve quality practices.
- Embed quality into deliverables and delivery processes from the outset to ensure consistent, high‑quality outcomes.
- Demonstrate the following attributes:
- Proven ability to build, standardize, and scale a QA program across diverse deliverables.
- Strong systems thinker who understands how quality intersects with delivery, project management, and customer experience.
- Comfortable defining and monitoring QA processes, metrics, and reporting.
- Experienced leader who can coach, mentor, and develop QA team members.
- Pragmatic mindset—able to apply the right level of QA based on risk, audience, and scope.
- Strong collaborator who can partner effectively with Project Managers, Delivery Leads, and Sales.
- Clear communicator who can articulate quality risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations.
- Ownership-oriented leader who takes responsibility for the health, consistency, and impact of quality outcomes.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing a QA function or QA team in a professional services, agency, or multi-project delivery environment.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience defining and implementing QA best practices, standards, and test strategies.
- Strong understanding of both manual testing and automated testing approaches and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with agile delivery concepts such as user stories, acceptance criteria, and iterative testing.
- Experience developing and documenting test plans and quality strategies appropriate to varying scopes, timelines, and risk profiles.
- Ability to establish and track quality metrics that demonstrate improvement over time.
- Experience participating in project estimation and planning discussions from a QA perspective.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar Microsoft‑aligned planning and tracking tools is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with AI tools or Microsoft Copilot is a strong plus.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements
- This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting base salary of $120,000 per year, dependent on experience.
- 3Sharp pays 90% of employee insurance premiums (medical, dental, vision) and offers a 401(k) match.
- New employees accrue 4 weeks of PTO in their first year and receive 9 paid holidays.
Benefits
- Remote workplace with occasional in-person meetings scheduled by management.
- Preference for applicants who live in Washington State, but open to exceptional candidates from nearby states.
- Core business hours follow Pacific Time to support collaboration and consistency.
