Role Description
Ameritas is currently seeking an Internal Wholesaler-Retirement Plans to support the sales efforts for the Retirement Plans product line. In this role, you will partner with financial professionals and Regional Sales Directors within all our distribution channels. You will proactively call to complete agreement packets and collect information needed to do so.
- Partner with financial professionals within the defined territory.
- Complete the sale process by proactively reaching out for information needed to do so.
- Assist in the creation of value-add documents and reports for financial professionals and Regional Directors in the field to build and expand a viable and profitable sales territory.
- Utilize a CRM to track, document and inform during different stages of the sales process.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the Retirement Plans market staying current on the complex regulatory issues that directly affect the sale of qualified plans.
- Achieve or exceed sales goals by supporting producers in multiple distribution channels and being attentive to the differences of each distribution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of internal retirement plan sales experience required.
- Retirement Plans record keeper experience strongly preferred.
- Life insurance license plus be a licensed Securities Representative (Series 6 or 7 and Series 63) or be willing to attain licenses within 6 months.
- Service oriented mind-set with solid customer service skills and abilities.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
- Proactive communication skills are necessary.
- Excellent oral communication skills, especially telephone skills.
- High level of professionalism, sound judgment, strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze basic and complex issues.
