Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic, mission‑driven National Campaign Strategist & Organizer to lead a comprehensive, faith‑sensitive, justice‑focused national movement supporting and defending immigrants and refugees across the United States. This role will shape national strategy, build coalitions, and strengthen the capacity of local and national partners to drive coordinated, impactful action.

The ideal candidate has deep experience mobilizing faith and social‑justice communities, leading multi‑stakeholder advocacy campaigns, and empowering grassroots networks.

 

This is a full‑time position expected to last at least one year, with a strong likelihood of extension.

Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy & Leadership

  • Design and lead a comprehensive national campaign strategy rooted in justice, community empowerment, and faith‑sensitive engagement.
  • Develop a clear campaign arc, including pre‑launch planning, momentum building, sustained engagement, narrative development, and creation of campaign collateral and tools.
  • Define and implement a ladder of engagement for diverse stakeholder groups, ensuring meaningful pathways for involvement.

Network & Coalition Building

  • Build, strengthen, and support relationships with faith‑based partners, advocacy organizations, grassroots groups, and multi‑sector coalitions.
  • Facilitate collaboration among grassroots and grasstops leaders to advance unified strategies and shared objectives.
  • Expand and deepen a national network committed to defending and uplifting immigrants and refugees.

Organizing & Mobilization

  • Lead the development of organizing initiatives that equip community members and partners with needed resources, tools, and training.
  • Coordinate and support community and partner training programs, ensuring organizers are well‑prepared to mobilize supporters.
  • Guide stakeholders through complex coalition environments and community‑based campaign efforts.

Communications & Narrative Strategy

  • Oversee creation and execution of communications strategies that amplify campaign messages and align with broader goals.
  • Develop narrative frameworks, messaging, and campaign materials to drive public engagement and awareness.
  • Ensure consistent and compelling storytelling across all campaign channels.

Project, Budget & Collaboration Management

  • Manage campaign budgets, contracts, timelines, and workstreams across internal and external teams.
  • Lead cross‑team coordination to ensure timely development and deployment of campaign activities.
  • Maintain operational excellence while driving strategic growth and impact.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 9 years of previous work experience in social justice advocacy, immigrant rights, civil liberties, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success in multi‑stakeholder campaign management, including large‑scale or multi‑partner initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience in grassroots organizing within complex coalition or community‑based environments.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including managing budgets, timelines, partnerships, and deliverables.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse constituencies, including faith communities and justice‑oriented organizations.
  • Strategic thinker with strong operational discipline and the ability to drive high‑impact initiatives from concept to execution.
