Job Summary:

Our Benefits team is looking for a Benefits and Leave Specialist to assist with the administration of our Benefits Programs. In this role, you will help support the day-to-day responsibilities of administering our health and welfare benefits, including providing direct support to our employee population with all benefits related questions, enrollments, and escalations. The ideal candidate is empathetic, enthusiastic, and able to critically review and find solutions to complex problems.  

Compensation: $65,000 - $68,000 annually

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the benefits inbox and respond to employee inquiries regarding benefit enrollments, life events, escalations, and general questions.

  • Verifies accuracy of all benefits enrollments and reporting in HRIS (Workday) to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. 

  • Interact with employees to resolve issues with a high degree of confidentiality, empathy, and customer service.  

  • Assist with annual Open Enrollment, responding to employee inquiries and participate in information sessions.  

  • Expand and improve benefits employee reference materials including knowledgebase articles, sites, guides, and targeted communications.  

  • Accurately track leaves and distribute time-sensitive notices and correspondence to team members as needed.  

  • Conduct the benefits orientations for all newly hired legal and administrative staff including updates to the presentation materials to ensure accuracy. 

  • Communicate with employees and managers on matters relating to LOA policies and procedures.  

  • Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes, employee contributions, hardship withdrawals, loans, and eligibility. 

  • Runs reports and processes files for 401k eligibility, and contributions. Assists in annual 401k audit process. 

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

  • 3+ years of work experience in a Benefits or HR role (i.e., Benefits Analyst, Benefits Specialist, Benefits Coordinator, HR Administrator, etc.)  

  • Must have strong technical skills including Excel, Work, Outlook, and internet proficiency 

  • Accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail are critical in this position. 

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
