Role Description

This role involves overseeing the RHRC’s Washington State program, serving as the program lead and liaison with both Washington state officials and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Reside in the state of Washington
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, business administration, or related field or combined education and experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in program management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of rural healthcare, including the financial, operational, and regulatory challenges unique to rural hospitals (preferred).
  • Proven experience in program management, including compliance, reporting, and performance monitoring requirements, preferably supporting rural communities and multi-site healthcare delivery systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly self-directed, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with innovative healthcare delivery and payment model preferred.
  • Rural healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts and frameworks.
  • Proven ability to foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work culture.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Access to reliable high-speed internet.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required, up to 50%.

Requirements

  • Oversee the implementation of the comprehensive project plan.
  • Support project plan revisions as may be needed from time to time, and annual updates over the course of the engagement.
  • Manage the day-to-day expectations of the program, overseeing the execution of the workplan, and coordinating all workflows required for RHRC.
  • Monitor deliverables and timelines, ensuring all requirements are met within the specified timeframes.
  • Establish relationships with key leadership and support effective communication to governance, community, and various stakeholders, as needed.
  • Provide necessary education to stakeholders, their communities, state offices of rural health, and other relevant entities on the services available through the RHRC.
  • Travel to client and stakeholder locations with frequency to manage relationships.
  • Oversee all financial programmatic aspects, including budgeting and tracking expenses, to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports as required, providing updates on program progress, outcomes, and financial status as required to meet contractual obligations.
  • Attend standing project-related meetings, including calls with partners, State officers, and core team meetings to stay up to date on work streams and progress.
  • Attend RHRC internal meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Status

  • Full-time, 37.5-hour workweek.
  • This is a fully remote position.
  • Employment is limited to candidates who reside in the state of Washington due to payroll and compliance requirements.

Salary Range

  • $95,000 - $105,000, dependent on experience.
