Role Description
The Associate Project Manager at Instructure, Inc. supports the successful planning, execution, and delivery of various projects within our product and engineering organizations. This role involves assisting senior project managers, coordinating tasks, and ensuring timely communication among stakeholders to drive project progress and meet objectives.
- Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Track project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and report status to senior project managers and stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and documenting minutes and action items.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, product, QA, design) to ensure alignment and task completion.
- Manage project documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and test plans.
- Support the identification and mitigation of project risks and issues.
- Communicate project updates, changes, and decisions to relevant team members and stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the project management team.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a project coordination or project management support role, preferably within a software or technology company.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com) and G Suite or Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Basic understanding of agile methodologies is a plus.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
