Role Description
The Amazon Account Director leads and develops a high-performing team of Account Managers and Senior Account Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence. This role is responsible for empowering the team to deliver best-in-class strategy and execution that drives measurable growth for our clients and Amazon.
- Lead and mentor a team of Account Managers, providing coaching, development, and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for strategic clients, partnering with senior client stakeholders to drive growth and business efficiency.
- Guide the team in developing annual brand strategies, promotional calendars, annual vendor negotiations, product launches, and supply chain optimization.
- Oversee client execution across account management while partnering with the advertising and content teams to ensure alignment with strategy and goals.
- Partner cross-functionally with analytics, creative, and media teams to deliver holistic client solutions.
- Analyze business performance and identify opportunities for growth and operational efficiency.
- Stay informed on Amazon’s latest tools, policies, and marketplace trends to ensure clients and teams remain ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
- 6-9 years of experience in account management, retail, or eCommerce — with significant exposure to Amazon (1P and 3P).
- Proven success leading client-facing teams and developing talent.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive-level presence.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Experience collaborating across disciplines (retail media, creative, analytics, supply chain).
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
- Willingness to travel.

- Base pay range for this position is $125,000-$145,000/annually.
