Role Description

The Operations Engineer is responsible for assisting the business in resolving product and technical issues for the Goodway organization. You will provide functional and technical support to your coworkers throughout the organization. Your work will include:

• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and debugging highly specialized software systems.
• Helping administer and manage the Goodway Group technology stack.
• Collaborating with co-workers to analyze and resolve issues, from significant system crashes to simple user errors.
• Working with fellow engineers to identify and resolve bugs discovered by coworkers.
• Liaising daily between the Engineering Department and the rest of the organization.
• Investigating and resolving data-related issues leveraging SQL/PostgreSQL.
• Coordinating across the organization to drive the resolution of large-scale outages.
• Assisting in maintaining and prioritizing the work queue and backlog both in tickets and project management systems.

Qualifications

• Team player who enjoys client-facing work and wants to grow and learn in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
• Working knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of software development and troubleshooting processes.
• Established analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively communicate technical information to audiences of all backgrounds.
• Highly adaptable, able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and consistently deliver quality results.
• Exceptional prioritization, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to remain cool, calm, and collected to provide excellent customer support during stressful situations.

Requirements

• This is a fully remote role based in the United States.
• Travel will be required at least twice each year for all-company meetings and may be required ad hoc based on business needs.
