Role Description
First American is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to grow our team.
- Serve as an advisor and coach to business partners around people management, high performance, and development.
- Partner with the business to build engaged, high-performing teams.
- Ensure HR and business strategies are aligned and gain leadership support in strategic HR activities.
- Develop HR strategies, policies, and practices.
- Partner with the business and people & culture team on employee engagement survey efforts, including analyzing and presenting data and creating actionable insights.
- Coach business leaders on HR policies and processes, including talent planning, learning and development, and performance management.
- Identify training needs for business units and executive coaching needs.
- Coach managers on policy application and interpretation.
- Develop and support immigration resources for employees and stakeholders.
- Partner with other People teams across the org building partnerships and solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, including senior-level support of Engineering, Product, and/or IT organizations.
- Strong understanding of technical team environments, including software development and product delivery models.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and coach senior leaders, building trusted partnerships while constructively challenging when appropriate.
- Experience navigating complex leadership dynamics and organizational change, providing steady guidance in fast-evolving environments.
- Expertise in employee relations, organizational design, and talent strategy, balancing business outcomes with culture and engagement.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, building scalable processes and structure where needed.
- Strong business acumen, translating strategic priorities into actionable people plans.
- Experience leading HR programs and cross-functional initiatives, driving alignment across stakeholders.
- High degree of judgment, resilience, and professionalism, with the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
- Self-directed and highly accountable, able to prioritize and deliver results independently.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, establishing credibility quickly across technical and executive teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Requirements
- Pay Range: $97,725 - $130,300 Annually.
- This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
- Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location.
