Role Description

We are seeking high-caliber Hearing Representatives to manage a robust caseload of lien files. This is not a back-office role; you will be the face of the firm before WCAB judges, navigating complex medical-legal disputes and driving claims to an expedient resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently handle lien files from initial review through final resolution, including medical record review and apportionment analysis.
  • Utilize the AMA Guides to accurately rate permanent disability.
  • Represent insurance carriers, TPAs, and employers at Mandatory Settlement Conferences (MSC), Status Conferences, and Walk-Through settlements.
  • Lead strategic negotiations with lien claimants to mitigate costs and close files.
  • Prepare high-quality petitions, declarations, position statements, and settlement documents.

Qualifications

  • 3–20 years of California Workers Compensation defense experience specifically as a Hearing Representative.
  • Mastery of the AMA Guides and experience with substantive medical lien hearings (not just copy liens).
  • Proven track record of appearing before WCAB judges and arguing effectively on your feet.
  • Proficiency in digital, paperless environments and strong written communication for client reporting.

Benefits

  • Fully remote setup with provided equipment (laptop, monitors, keyboard).
  • Work under a dedicated Hearing Rep Management team (Megan and Z)—you are a core part of the practice, not an afterthought.
  • An established 30-year history with the momentum of a firm currently in a 20% growth phase.
  • 401(k) with employer contribution, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, Life/Disability insurance, FSA, and PTO.
