Role Description
As a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney, you will represent employers, insurance carriers, and TPAs in all stages of litigation. You will manage a full caseload within a highly efficient, paperless workflow.
- Represent clients at WCAB hearings, conferences, and trials throughout California.
- Conduct and defend depositions (Applicants, PQMEs, and AMEs).
- Draft complex pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements (C&Rs, Stips).
- Provide strategic legal advice to claims adjusters and insured clients.
- Collaborate with dedicated legal assistants to drive claims toward favorable resolution.
Qualifications
- 2–10 years of dedicated California Workers' Compensation defense experience.
- Juris Doctor (JD) and an active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Proven track record of appearing before the WCAB and managing a high-volume caseload.
- Proficiency with dictation software and paperless case management systems.
- First or second chair trial experience and significant doctor deposition experience (bonus).
