Job Description
Role Description
We are seeking passionate and experienced AI Mentors / Tutors to join our team for programs designed for high school students. As a mentor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and inspiring students as they delve into the realm of AI. Your guidance will empower them to develop the skills necessary to create their independent projects within the course.
These roles are part-time and hourly and can be done remotely working with students based around the world.
This role will include:
- Working closely with a variety of students based across the world - including the US, Asia, Australia, and Europe.
- Maintaining reasonable levels of communication with students outside of formal sessions.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
- Experience in training and mentoring individuals in the field of AI with a strong track record of successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for teaching and helping others succeed.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with curriculum design and course development is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Expertise in AI concepts: machine learning, neural networks, NLP, Computer Vision, LLMs.
- Strong foundation in Python basics including variables, data structures, and control flow.
- Practical experience in building ML models with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and pre-trained models.
- Ability to lead brainstorming sessions for AI solutions in various industries.
- Facilitation of hands-on labs to develop Python coding assistants.
- Understanding of AI use-cases, applications, and ethical considerations.
- Proficiency in identifying issues solvable with AI.
- Experience in guiding teams for AI project ideation.
- Conducting design thinking workshops.
- Providing 1:5 code sessions and regular check-ins for student progress.
- Oversight of hands-on labs for team project development.
- Polishing projects including models, code, and documentation.
- Preparation and delivery of project presentations.
- Conducting live demo sessions.
