Role Description
CrossCountry Freight Solutions is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the delivery timeline of shipments, ensuring that products arrive at their destinations promptly and securely. This Logistics Coordinator tracks shipment progress and employs proactive measures to prevent delays. In the event of any issues related to shipments or inventory, the Logistics Coordinator takes swift action to identify the root cause and implement effective solutions, guaranteeing a seamless experience for customers and maintaining the integrity of the supply chain.
Essential Job Duties
- Manage each shipment from inception to completion.
- Develop new truckload business opportunities with existing and new customers.
- Negotiate rates and service commitments for multiple modes of transportation.
- Secure carrier capacity, negotiate rates and service commitments to meet customer expectations and margin objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and carriers.
- Provide clear and proactive communication to our customers and carriers, ensuring all business requirements are understood and being met.
- Facilitate any tracking, tracing, or reporting required.
- Take accountability in ensuring each job is being completed to the requirements communicated.
- Provide quick & proactive problem resolution.
- Input and process accurate shipment data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, or other industry-related field required.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities.
- Must possess excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
