Job Description
We are growing and looking for an experienced Quality Lead with a Software QA/QE background to join our Agile software development team. As part of a small, collaborative team, you'll be a subject matter expert with immediate impact on our fast-growing payments processing platform. If a cool, challenging work environment sounds appealing, you'll fit right in.
The Quality Lead oversees and actively participates in day-to-day embedded testing within the Agile Delivery team — balancing hands-on technical work with mentoring, workload delegation, and cross-team alignment. You'll partner closely with your manager to review and improve QA artifacts, tools, and strategies, while ensuring testing efforts across divisions are well-aligned and integrated into a comprehensive regression and performance suite.
\n- Leading and working alongside a team of Quality Engineers and SDETs
- Driving the development and execution of test strategies across all phases of the development lifecycle (functional, regression, integration, and performance)
- Developing automated tests, tools, and pipelines with emphasis on efficiency
- Coaching and mentoring team members on quality methods and best practices
- Supporting the Quality Manager in project management, stakeholder communication, and release reporting
- Collaborating with product and development teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot failures, and ensure a great customer experience
- Championing quality practices organization-wide and providing relevant quality metrics
- Experience: 5+ years in a fast-paced QA role with 5+ years in a lead capacity
- Testing expertise: Deep knowledge across all testing phases (unit, functional, system, regression, load, UAT), the Test Pyramid, shift-left principles, and Web UI, API, and performance testing
- Test planning & metrics: Proven ability to decompose requirements into test cases, establish metrics programs, and develop predictive quality reporting
- Communication & risk: Ability to assess project risk, report test status clearly, and connect quality outcomes to broader business goals
- Tools & environment: Experience with Jira, Agile (Scrum/Kanban), and TDD; JavaScript required; Postman and Cypress highly desired (or equivalent GUI/API tools)
- Nice to have: Knowledge of DevOps principles and cloud infrastructure
- Fintech & compliance: Payments/ACH processing background, familiarity with NACHA and PCI compliance standards
- DevOps & cloud: CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker), AWS services (EC2, S3, SNS, Lambda), and microservices experience
- Work with an international, cross-disciplinary team on impactful products.
- Freedom to shape QA strategy and automation architecture.
- Flexible remote work with autonomy and ownership.
