Job Description

Why SailPoint?

Love what you do. And love where you do it. Smart people, fun culture, innovative work, beautiful offices — oh, and everyone’s really nice. That’s what people say about SailPoint. We’re known as the company where everyone wants to work, and we have the awards to prove it.

If you’re passionate about outsmarting cybercriminals and working at a company where you can truly have an impact; we want you to join our team.

SailPoint empowers the largest, most complex organizations by putting identity at the Center of Security and IT.  Our 2,000+ customers include global financial institutions, government entities, and pharmaceutical organizations.

Who you are?

We are looking for an experienced Resource Manager who sees the "big picture." You aren't just filling seats; you are the architect of our project teams. You understand that behind every data point is a person with aspirations, and behind every project is a client counting on our excellence. You are a master of balance. You are analytical enough to navigate complex staffing data, yet empathetic enough to understand the human element of resource management. You don’t just solve puzzles; you build foundations that allow others to succeed.

What You’ll Do

As a Sr. Resource Manager in the RMO, you’ll be a senior member of the team, helping management mature the organization. You will be the connective tissue between people, projects, and performance. You’ll partner closely with the PMO, Delivery Leaders, and consultants to ensure SailPoint’s Professional Services team delivers at its best—every time.

  • Be a Strategic Partner: Work alongside leadership to forecast needs and shape the growth of our departments.

  • Empower Careers: Bridge the gap between business needs and employee development, ensuring our team members are constantly growing through skill enablement and strategic project staffing.

  • Drive Excellence: Optimize our delivery by ensuring our most complex projects are powered by our most capable hands.

In your first 3 months, you will:

  • Gain a deep understanding of SailPoint’s strategic delivery goals and resource management systems.

  • Build strong partnerships with regional PMO and Delivery leadership.

  • Lead staffing meetings to align resources with project needs.

  • Manage project intake sheets and ensure requests and opportunity data is accurate.

  • Work with Project Managers to review project forecasts and estimates vs actuals, ensuring we have clean data.

  • Take ownership of your team's Utilization Program. Proactively monitoring utilization and forecast by working closely with managers and team members to ensure they are achieving their target utilization.

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Optimize staffing strategies to balance utilization, project demand, and resource growth.

  • Drive proactive actions to resolve potential bottlenecks or shortages before they occur.

  • Ensure staffing decisions to support both project delivery and organizational priorities.

  • Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, predictability, and resource engagement.

  • Take ownership of different RMO initiatives, e.g., RMO Interlock and the Avails Program.

At the 1-year mark, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on resource strategy.

  • Establish yourself as a subject matter expert in professional services resource management, shaping how SailPoint grows its delivery capacity and scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead staffing allocations across local projects, ensuring alignment with PMO and Delivery priorities.

  • Review and refine resource forecasts and capacity plans.

  • Monitor utilization, identify gaps or underutilization, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Build Utilization Improvement Plan profiles, monitor trends and track progress.

  • Facilitate staffing meetings and resolve resource conflicts in real time.

  • Develop and maintain accurate reporting on resource metrics and utilization trends.

  • Improve RMO processes, tools, and automation to scale effectively.

  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure staffing decisions balance project delivery, financial goals, and consultant development.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience.

  • 5+ years in resource management, workforce management, or professional services operations.

  • Must have experience managing staffing, building reports and dashboards with Certinia (Formerly Financial Force)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.

  • Master at context switching that can handle dozens of ongoing conversations and resourcing needs

  • Experience working on and managing long term demand and availability needs to support our interlock program.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels of the business.

  • Proficiency in SharePoint, Smartsheet, and other resource planning tools.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance competing priorities independently.

Preferred

  • RMCP Certification.
