Non-Profit Financial Operations Manager (Remote)
HR Synergy is seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager on behalf of our client.

What You’ll Do
You will support clients in a multi‑client environment and contribute to efficient financial operations. Responsibilities include:
Client Support
- Provide high‑quality accounting and operational services.
- Apply professional accounting and bookkeeping practices.
- Support new‑client onboarding following established processes.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly close activities, and financial reporting/analysis.
- Maintain strong, timely client communication and build positive working relationships.
- Work within defined workflows, budgets, and timelines.
- Identify opportunities to enhance client value through process improvements or additional services.
- The Finance Operations Manager is responsible for overall leadership and support to the team of Finance Operations Associates.
Team Collaboration
- Participate in regular video check‑ins with your team and manager.
- Learn and adopt new technologies and software tools.
- Welcome coaching and feedback to support team success.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- 10+ years of full‑cycle accounting experience within the non‑profit sector (AP, AR, monthly close, financial reporting/analysis).
- 5+ years of experience with QuickBooks or NetSuite.
- Experience in a multi‑client environment (preferred).
- Availability to work standard business hours across U.S. time zones.
- Ability to manage client relationships within established processes and parameters.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity.
- Passion for client service and helping organizations succeed.
Highly Preferred Skills
- QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience
- Grant and fund accounting (non‑government), including net assets and restricted assets
- CPA or former CPA, especially with audit background
- Multi‑client accounting experience
