Role Description
Praetorian Power Protection, the leader in NETA testing and staff augmentation for the mission-critical industry, is searching for a Human Resources Contractor to join our team on a 1099/temporary basis. This is a fully remote position, and you would collaborate with senior leadership to continue to make Praetorian Power the employer of choice.

Employee Relations & Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee inquiries regarding policy and personal concerns.
- Act as a neutral advisor to management on performance coaching and conflict resolution.
- Maintain an "open door" environment to ensure high morale across both field and office teams.

- Partner with accounting to ensure accurate semi-monthly payroll processing.
- Manage leave of absence requests (FMLA, Disability) and workers' compensation claims.
- Manage COBRA distribution.

Compliance & Safety Integration
- Ensure all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist in the development and updating of the Employee Handbook and policy changes.

Performance & Culture
- Facilitate the annual performance review process.
- Organize company-wide events and initiatives to maintain a tight-knit culture as the company grows.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of HR experience, ideally in a "department of one" or a small-to-mid-sized technical/industrial company.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field is preferred (SHRM or PHR certification is a major plus).
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with HRIS platforms, ATS software, and Microsoft Office Suite. (Paycom experience would be a huge plus).
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with everyone from field technicians to executive leadership.
- Discretion: A proven track record of handling sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.
