In this role, you will support end-to-end payroll operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth coordination across payroll processes. You’ll play a key part in onboarding new payroll clients, configuring payroll systems, and maintaining accurate employee and company records. Working in a fully remote environment, you will collaborate with finance and operations teams to manage payroll taxes, generate compliance reports, and resolve discrepancies efficiently. - Support end-to-end payroll processing while ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage onboarding and implementation processes for new payroll clients, including system setup and configuration.
- Create and maintain company profiles, pay structures, employee records, and tax settings within payroll systems.
- Process payroll tax payments and assist with quarterly and year-end payroll activities.
- Generate and maintain required payroll documentation such as W-2s, 1099s, and other compliance reports.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payroll data, tax filings, or employee records.
- Provide support to clients and employees regarding payroll processes, policies, and inquiries.
- Perform payroll reconciliations, maintain accurate system data, and prepare reports for finance teams.
- Assist with payroll system updates, internal audits, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in payroll administration or payroll operations.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency with payroll software and common business applications.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to troubleshoot payroll issues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused mindset.
